I recently used the Crock-Pot SCV700KRNP 7-Quart Slow Cooker for my St. Patrick’s Day dinner, and the corned beef turned out tender and tasty. This slow cooker heats up very quickly, which is a great plus. However, I do wish the handles were larger, but overall, it’s a great buy. The cooking process is efficient, though there was a mix-up with the color—I received gray ones instead of red. Despite this, both my daughter and I weren’t troubled by the color difference.
One thing to note is that it seems to overheat on high settings, burning off liquid in under 4 hours, which could be a hazard if left unattended for an entire day. The exterior gets extremely hot too. Nevertheless, its performance is impressive, with perfect packaging and fast delivery. It’s also large enough to cook two butterball turkey breasts simultaneously, making it excellent for holidays or having friends over.
I have three different sizes of this Crock-Pot, allowing me to cook various dishes at once. However, I am curious about the bottom design of the crockpot, which has three “feet” and two metal pieces. It makes me wonder if it’s missing parts. Although I gifted one to my cousin, who hasn’t used it yet, he was pleased with it and remarked that it was exactly what he wanted, especially noting the quick delivery.
Replacing my old one, which I had for years until it stopped working, this larger model meets my needs perfectly. It heats up enough to cook food like baby back ribs in 4 hours, which I can then finish in the oven. This appliance is suitable for a large family and, in my opinion, surpasses other brands, including the Instant Pot, when it comes to flavor.
