I started using the GreenPan Matte Black 13-in-1 Air Fryer Slow Cooker & Grill the first day I received it and I’m still experimenting. Everything I have cooked so far has tasted great! It’s easy to use and I love it. I bought this to replace an electric griddle, and I’m super happy I did. The plates remove easily, it takes about 5 minutes to get to temperature, and it’s easy to clean and store. The cook surface cooks evenly and it’s so easy to switch from a double flat surface to closed, cooking both sides at the same time. The only thing I was not happy with was that it states it came with a waffle grill plate, but it did not, so they didn’t get a 5 star. It’s the best press we have ever had, easy to clean and well worth the money. You just plug it in, hit the button that says ‘Both Grill’, then the start button, put your food in before it’s even done heating up and by the time it beeps, it’s going to be done probably. I love this grill. I can adjust the temperature to suit the food I am making and the ceramic plates are just fabulous for cleaning. The grill is sturdy and well made.
However, there are some downsides. I bought this to replace 4 appliances, which I was excited about. I’ve only used the skillet feature so far, and it was disappointingly slow. Its preheat period is very long, it never seemed to get hot enough, and anytime you adjust the temp up or down, it has to go through the preheat phase, which takes at least 5 minutes. It took me 45 minutes to make 6 pancakes, so I would not recommend this product. Also, I wish the cord was retractable. I don’t understand why it’s not. The grill works great but it’s odd that it only heats for 5 minutes when set to 450 degrees. Nothing is sticking to these plates, and they do come off for easy cleaning. It’s well made too. I use it at least 3 times a week. The GreenPan panini grill is great so far, the plates are so easy to clean. The pre-heat seems to take a while to get up to temp. My cooking time is always less than the preheat time. It would be nice if the drip catcher was wider by 3x so when the top is up, it would catch its drippings. I will update if things change…
