Ma Wan Crispy Meat and Chinese Cabbage Pot
Ingredients:
- Powdered meatballs
- A small handful of raw sesame seeds
- Oil (enough for frying)
- Crispy meat (as needed)
- Dried beancurd sticks and wood ear mushrooms (optional)
- Chinese cabbage
- Self-prepared seasoning sauce
Instructions:
- Mix the meatball mixture with some starch and white sesame seeds as per the recipe.
- Stir well and shape into balls of your preferred size. Fry in hot oil until crispy.
- Remove the fried meat from the oil and eat immediately or cool and freeze for later use.
- Layer the bottom of a clay pot with sliced Chinese cabbage, optionally adding wood ear mushrooms, dried beancurd sticks, fresh mushrooms, bean sprouts, and other bean products.
- Add another layer of cabbage leaves and sprinkle some crispy meat on top. Optionally add potato noodles or pumpkin for extra flavor.
- Add a few boiled meatballs or fried meatballs, depending on your preference. Lightly pour some seasoning sauce over the top.
- Arrange the pot attractively, then add water, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer until the ingredients are tender and ready to eat.
